A friend recently asked me where I was able to get an historical photo of my Seattle home. Older Seattle homes, built before 1930, are typically available from the state archives. Send an email to archives@bcc.ctc.edu with your Property/Parcel Tax information and they’ll tell you what they can do.

Photagonist ‘Solitude’ Contest
March 15th, 2008 · No Comments
Last weekend I had the great honor and pleasure of hosting yet another Photagonist photo contest. The topic was ’solitude’. People had 3 weeks to produce their work which was printed, hung and voted on in both San Francisco and Seattle. The results speak for themselves. I’ve put the top 3 finishers below but you [...]

Photo of the Day
January 22nd, 2008 · 1 Comment
Having recently rebuilt my blog I thought it would be fun to try and resurrect my Photo of the Day/Week. Here’s one I took in Seattle last December. Yes December. These bloom every year in November and December. The flower is so large and heavy that the stem bends 180 degrees [...]

BRCAC Photo Contest - 'power'
May 24th, 2006 · No Comments
For the second time in 6 months BRCAC has pulled off another photo contest. This time around the theme was ‘power’ and the results were just that. Personally I submitted one photo, a flatbed scan of 3 corn seeds. It seems to me a great match for the topic. These seeds [...]

Photo of the Week
April 30th, 2006 · No Comments
I’ve been cleaning up my work area this weekend and even did a quick frame of up some Polaroids that have been collecting since fall. The Polaroids were from a study I’ve been doing by putting my friends into a chair in my office and directing a small 60W desk lamp at them. [...]

Manzanita and Picture of the Weekend
April 24th, 2006 · No Comments
It’s really been proof lately that picture of the day just isn’t working. Instead I’m staying with picture of the week. I knew this would happen and it’s good to find out and simply admit it. Now on with the pictures.
Megan and I spent a weekend in Manzanita (4/14-4/16) checking out a [...]

Photo Of The Day

You might think I’ve been remiss in my Photo of the Day and you’d be right. I have, however, been posting a few party sets from the last 6 months onto my new Flickr account. So maybe that makes up for it.
Below is a shot from a store front in Fremont. [...]

Laura Cherry's Birthday Party
April 7th, 2006 · No Comments
I’ve been so remiss in uploading photos from my friend’s birthday parties. Well here goes. Mrs. Laura Cherry turned something like 30 last month. Here are the photos, all shot in digital high grain. The photos had no editing, it’s a simple upload. Excuse the junk.
Click if you want Laura’s [...]

Photo Of The Day
April 6th, 2006 · No Comments
Day 3 of my journey. I’ve gone back to last October to find a somewhat interesting photo of a very interesting sculputre at the University of Washington campus. This metal “sculpture” lies near the new Law School building.

Photo Of The Day
April 6th, 2006 · No Comments
Here we go again, another photo of the day. #2 in fact.
I took this shot while on a walk with my good friend John Gossman while on a walk in Seward Park in late Winter. We walked over 7 miles that day and took lots of pictures or at least I did with [...]
