I Need a Mac

I inherited an old G3 Apple iMac at work a few weeks back and I’m in love. Though slow and not having much RAM it was still able to handle OS X 10.2 in stride and browses the web faster than my monster XP machine thanks to the new Safari browser. In fact, I dig the little sucker so much I’m going to try and port the product I’m working on in order to learn more about OS X. Of course this means I’m going to have to buy a Mac.
Currently I’m browsing around EBay trying to find a somewhat new yet used G4 Titanium PowerBook. The new 17″ model is a dream machine but even the smallest 12″ model starts at $1800 and I’m looking to pay much less than that. How do I get myself into these things anyhow?
